Take time out this summer to become a detective and solve the mystery of the legend of the forts!

The whole family is invited to acquaint themselves with the history of Charente-Maritime’s coastal fortifications and have a lot of fun doing so.

The legend of the forts means…

• 10 years of eventful wanderings by the game’s hero and heroine Antoine and Charlotte, and growing success with each passing year.

• 163,081 players since its creation in 2001, including 26,040 last year alone.

• A whole heritage to discover: the Saint-Martin-de-Ré city walls, Fort Liédot, Fort Vauban, the Château-d’Oléron Citadel, the Brouage stronghold and Fort Louvois.

•  Ever more satisfied players.

A great adventure to share as a family:

After having been held prisoner within the Saint-Martin-de-Ré city walls, Charlotte has succeeded in escaping her kidnappers, the Antiochars!
Antoine, her fiancé, must find her, and he needs your help to do so.

- Go to one of the 6 participating forts and ask the activity leader for your mission booklet. The booklet will help you solve the 6 forts’ 6 riddles – and it contains Antoine and Charlotte’s full story along with anecdotes about the forts themselves.
- For each riddle solved, the activity leader stamps your booklet. When you’ve solved 3 or more of them, you receive your detective’s certificate and a surprise gift.
